Well, the Florida jobs numbers came out today. Our unemployment rate is at 10.6%, 1.1% higher than the national rate. This is 4.6% higher than one year ago in Florida. Given this information, let us take a look at what our senators are planning to vote on in the U.S. senate and how that would impact Florida as well as the rest of the nation.

Big Spending Bill nelson in a Nutshell

It is very clear to Floridians now that Bill Nelson is no moderate. he has supported all of the recent big spending bills, to make him, “Big Spending Bill nelson of Florida.” He supported the stimulus package that was not read before voting. Only 10% of the stimulus was released so far. If only this amount was spent after 6 months, what was the big rush to pass the bill without reading it? Basically, the strategy was to avoid people having a chance to see what was in it, because they were told it was a stimulus package, when in reality, it was a left-wing pay off bill sending money to all the groups that helped get the Liberal Democrats elected.

Big spending Bill Nelson voted for it without reading it and he also voted for all the amendments that the Liberals added to make it bigger and voted down all the amendments that called for oversight and security.. or God forbid, cost cutting. He voted for the Omnibus Bill soon after that that included 4,000 pork barrel projects not designed for helping the economy, but for paying off supproter again. Bill Nelson also wanted to spend more on the auto company and bank bailouts than was actually spent! Bill Nelson is no moderate, he’s a big spending Lib!

Bill nelson Wants to Strap a Second Cap and Trade on Us

Now, our Liberal Senator, Bill Nelson, supports cap and trade. Florida already has a cap and trade system in place. This is one of the factors leading to our state’s high unemployment. It also is a direct cause of the high electric rates we have been paying the last two years. Companies and businesses also are paying higher rates, and that contributes to the amount of people they can hire and retain. Additionally, the use of fossil fuel energy in any company brings on a heavy tax burden as well. cap and Trade has hurt Florida, and now Bill Nelson wants to strap it on the whole country. As a result, Florida will be under 2 Cap and Trade systems, the state and the federal government. looks like unemployment is going to even higher thanks to Bill Nelson.

The National Black Chamber of Commerce, a Democratic group, even estimates that the Cap and Trade bill passed by the House of Representatives under heavy pressure from Nancy Pilosi and Barack obama will cost Americans an average of 2.5 million jobs per year. This figure also takes in account all the “green jobs” that they hope to create. When you have a Democratic group calculating such heavy job losses on their own legislation, you have to know that it can only be worse than that, not better. So, look out Florida, we are going to get hit really hard with out of control unemployment.

Cap and Trade will also make it harder to sell your home. In Florida, the housing market is severely crippled. On top of this, Bill Nelson is happy for us to have Federal Energy Regulations that will trump any state or local regulations. You will need energy certification from a federal beaurovrat to get PERMISSION to sell your home. You will need to update appliances, sealing on windows, and all the other energy0saving expenses that this left-wing government wants.

Mel “The Smell” Martinez

So, we have a left-wing Liberal in Bill Nelson, and now Mel Martinez, on his way out, decides he wants to be a Liberal Republican. he too supports Cap and Trade, which will kill jobs in Florida and hurt the job market. He doesn’t have to worry about running for election again, but let’s hope he doesn’t show up in some other position somewhere, because he stinks. Despite the fact that most Republicans are against the heavy-handed, job-killing Cap and Trade tax, this Liberal Republican wants to go for it. Why? Is he hoping to become a lobbyist for some far-left organization or something?

Let’s cap Bill Nelson and trade him in. Spread the word!

Breaking her promises about transparency and keeping the American people informed about the legislation in the House of Representatives, Nancy Pilosi once again shoves a 300 page addition onto a bill at 3 am int he morning the same day as it is scheduled to be voted on. We can easily see why she snuck it in. Her mandates of a Federal building and housing code based on a radical California model is going to hurt the housing market as well as home prices in A BIG WAY. This is in addition to their own estimate 2.3-2.7 million jobs lost per year and skyrocketing electric and gas prices for EVERYONE! She knew this would be unpopular with the majority of Americans, so she snuck it in. Remember, she’s up for election next year. VOTE HER OUT!

John Boehner and those against the bill fought hard last night, but the liberal machine, funded by the radical environmentalists and socialist movement won out. Now the battle moves to the senate.

John Boehner’s Statement on Pilosi’s All-Inclusive Energy Tax and Building Mandate Bill that Passed Yesterday

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman John Boehner (R-West Chester) today strongly opposed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) national energy tax and the impact it would have on middle-class families and small businesses across the country. Boehner earlier spoke on the House floor in a marathon, hour-long speech in which he read portions of the legislation to underscore its real consequences for American jobs and the economy. Following is Boehner’s statement on the legislation:

“Today, in what will be remembered as the defining vote of the 111th Congress, House Democrats passed a 1,500-page national energy tax bill that no one even had the chance to read. The American people have the right to know what is in this legislation and, more importantly, what impact it will have on middle-class families and small businesses. In just an hour, we raised serious questions about the true consequences of this legislation for Americans’ jobs and all of our economy.

“Speaker Pelosi’s national energy tax is a bureaucratic nightmare that will cost families more than ever for electricity, gasoline, food, and other products, and cost millions of American workers their jobs. This is a tax on anyone who drives a car, buys an American-made product, or flips on a light switch. It will drive up energy costs, send millions of jobs overseas to countries like China and India, and place an especially heavy burden on rural America. Republicans believe there is a better way. Our American Energy Act is the fastest route to a cleaner, more reliable energy future. By increasing environmentally-safe energy production, promoting alternatives like nuclear and clean-coal technologies, and encouraging increased efficiency, this alternative legislation will create more jobs, lower energy costs, and clean up our air and water.

“There’s a big difference between the heartland and San Francisco when it comes to Speaker Pelosi’s national energy tax. Today, House Democrats made the decision to stand with left-wing special interests rather than with families and small businesses in their districts that will lose so much because of this national energy tax. The American people will not forget this vote.”

It’s a battle between the free market and personal liberty versus tyranny and government control over EVERYTHING.

Well, the count was 219 to 212 in favor of the Cap and Trade Tax. As with other recent bills, the current version of the tax was finalized at 3am and voted on the same day. The whole transparency principle of letting the American people review bills before rushing them through was out the window a while ago, and the trend continues. Nancy Pilosi has taken the approach of rushing things through without people reading the bill, even the representatives voting on them, as her “technique” of ramming her left-wing agenda through the House of Representatives.

A recent addition to the bill was a plan to model a set of Federal Zoning Regulations off of California state regulations. In other words, every state in the country will lose the ability to set its own building regulations, we are now all forced on the California model. Yeah, that’s constitutional.

Additionally, those Americans below the Federal Poverty Level will get their expenses from this tax rebated to them, but the overwhelming majority of Americans are out of luck, here’s your BIG TAX INCREASE for 95% of the American people. This will go along with one other finding from their own Congressional Budget Office….

Their own Congressional Budget Office estimates about 2.3 – 2.7 million jobs per year lost even after calculating in all the “Green Collar Jobs” that they plan to add

So, you get a big tax increase on all individuals and businesses in addition to a dwindling jobs market. Are you happy? Well, Barack Obama warned you that he was going to skyrocket electricity costs…. but you didn’t listen…. SUCKERS….

Hold Them Accountable

Write your two senators and demand that they do not vote for this Cap and Trade Tax. Tell them you will fire them if they do the next time they are up for election. Find out how your congressperson voted, and then you get the chance in 2010 to fire them if they voted for it.

Yesterday morning, Obama continues his campaign for taxing all of us through Cap and Trade and controlling all of our healthcare. I’ve been discussing these issues for a while now, but when I hear him just toss out meaningless numbers and makes false statements to make the plan he’s pimping sound better than what it really is bothers me. Yesterday he stated that the Cap and Trade Tax on Carbon emissions everywhere will only cost the American taxpayer $175.00 a year. The lowest non-partisan estimates are actually at $1800.00, and the higher range is about $3000.00. Either way, these are all estimates. But you can see how high this can grow based on a simple understanding of truly how much this tax will affect everything.

What Gets Taxed in Cap and Trade

Cap and Trade seeks to cap Carbon Dioxide emissions. This is done under the misnomer that Carbon Dioxide is a pollutant. Carbon Dioxide is what we breathe out and what plants breathe in. In trying to limit the Carbon Dioxide that is produces, the government intends to tax any business or individual that emits Carbon Dioxide above certain levels. The levels that are going to be taxed are going to gradually be phased in to the point that by 2035, Carbon Dioxide caps will cap emissions to be 80% lower than they were in 2005. If that sounds drastic, that’s because it is. They want to limit Carbon Dioxide emissions down to where they were in 1867, just after the Civil War, when the population of the country was a fraction of what it is today and before the large growth of industry and technology that took place in the 20th century.

So, as businesses and individuals get taxed for emitting Carbon Dioxide, the Democrats are trying to say it is a free-market solution in that businesses can purchase “Carbon Credits.” Basically, companies have to buy allowances to emit Carbon Dioxide, creating a whole new commodity of allotments. Either way, this is a tax in that everything that uses energy will be having to pay a lot more for it. This tax is also a compounding tax in that spending money on government fines or Carbon Credits will pile up multiple times throughout the production process of anything.

How the Tax Compounds

Anything that gets produced requires energy. Farmer’s tractors, warehouses that use electricity (all of them do by the way), and any product that gets shipped on a plane, train, or automobile (all of them do except for fresh Amish products bought in the country). So, if electricity providers, who are going to get slammed real hard with having to pay government fines or buy Carbon Credits are obviously going to have to increase their rates. This means that warehouses will pay more for electric, companies that use office buildings will have to pay more for electricity. Individuals living int heir homes will have to pay more for their electricity. So, all these products that are grown or manufactured using energy (and they all do) will cost more. It will cost more to produce, ship, and then sell in the market since everyone’s energy costs go up. Since the individual is paying more for electric at home, and paying more for everything they buy, don’t you think that this tax is going to compound just a bit?

Here is Obama admitting that his Cap and Trade policy is going to skyrocket energy prices, but then how does he get away with lying that it will only cost us about $175.00 per year per household? He says two different things at two different times, and we can’t call him a liar?

Another Lie

Obama also said in the same interview that the government was going to rebate the costs that will be paid for the fines and purchasing of Carbon Credits. Now, anyone who believes this really needs a Cat scan to see if they have a brain. IF the government is going to rebate this tax to those who are going to have to pay it, then why have the tax in the first place? OF COURSE THERE WON’T BE A REBATE. The government’s recent spending festival that is still going on is going to be partially paid for by EVERY ONE OF US paying this Cap and Trade Tax. As I pointed out before this tax cut on 95$ of the American people is a bunch of B.S. This tax is going to everyone and it’s going to hit hard so that Al Gore can make money on his investments and the Liberal Democrats int he government can run the enrgy industry and basically every industry that needs power of some sort.

Hurry, hurry, hurry, rush, rush, rush… Let’s get these things passed before the American people have a chance to see what the bills actually say. This is the policy of the Obama, Pilosi, Reed, Schumer, Waxman, Frank, Rangle, and Obama driven Neo-Democratic alliance. Just like the so-called Stimulus bill, which had to be passed before the legislators actually had a chance to read it, much less the American people, Nancy Pilosi is in a hurry to get the Cap and Trade Tax passed by Friday, this week.

Even though this largest tax increase in American history is not supported by the people, Nancy Pilosi is determined to ram it through before the people know what hit them. Remember, this is the same Nancy Pilosi that authored a so-called Stimulus Bill that is so stimulating that only 7% of the spending has gone out. In other words, it was not a bill designed to stimulate the economy, but a bill that had all the spending that the Liberal Democrats wanted to get through under the guise of having to save the economy.

Now, under the guise of “saving the environment,” Pilosi and the Liberal hoards are pushing through legislation that will penalize any company, business, or industry that produces more than a certain amount of Carbon Dioxide. These companies will have to either pay a fine, or buy “Carbon Credits” to allow them to produce Carbon Dioxide. Either way, this will make energy cost a hell of a lot more. It is also certain that it will hit every aspect of the economy because every business and individual int he country uses energy!

Food Prices

One area of necessities where this will hit people hard is in the cost of food. Farms use tractors to grow and cultivate their yields. The fuel and the tractors themselves are going to be much more expensive, so that will raise the price of food for everyone. In addition, food gets shipped to grovery stores on planes, trains, and automobiles which also use fuel. Food is going to go way up in price with this double taxation

Electric and Fuel

Here’s the famous video clip where Barack Obama admits that his Cap and Trade Tax will “necessarily skyrocket” utility costs. Electricity providers are going to be hit hard with the costs of paying the government or other companies for “Carbon Credits” and will have to pass that expense on to the customers. The same thing will happen at the gas station for the cost of fuel. Public transportation will also have to cost more as the price of fuel goes up. This legislation does not reduce the amount of Carbon Dioxide, it just makes everyone have to pay more money for the government-given right to emit it.

The Cost

The lowest, most conservative estimate of the average cost for the average American is $1,800.00 per year. That’s $150.00 per month. This tax is also regressive in that those who earn less get hit the hardest. The fact that this tax is being pinned on everyone in the country all at once makes it the largest tax increase in the history of the country.

What is Cap and Trade?

Simply put, it is a tax on anything that produces Carbon Dioxide. You know that gas that we breathe out when we exhale and the gas that all plant life breathes and needs to live? The EPA, under command from left-wing groups has declared it a pollutant. Therefore, it will be taxed if Henry Waxman, who is sponsoring the bill, gets it through.

So What, it doesn’t hurt to Reduce Carbon Dioxide

Actually, you can turn that around and say “So what, Carbon Dioxide is not a pollutant and its affect on the climate is grossly over-exaggerated by the Global Warming Flat-Earthers. Namely, the Earth has been cooling for the last 10 years, Carbon Dioxide is 0.04% of the atmosphere, and this tax will make everything cost more for everybody. It is also the most regressive tax that you can have in that it will hurt the lower income people the most. Since Obama gets more money from the Liberal Elite, he’s willing to sell out the poor for this cause.

So What Gets Taxed??

Everything. Every product you buy gets shipped from one place to another. Trains, planes, and trucks all emit Carbon Dioxide. These shipping comapnies will be taxed heavily, so everything you buy, such as groceries, clothing…whatever… will cost a lot more. Your utility bills will go up since most of our electric is manufactured by coal. The rise in costs to the average person are estimated at the low end of $3100.00 a year. Even with solar panels and windmills, it will take decades for the country to reduce the amount of fossil fuel useful that we have. Instead of promoting alternatives, the government wants to make us suffer over what we have and still do need.

Seeing how nuclear power plants do not emit Carbon Dioxide or any pollutants, they are a good way to help us escape this taxation, but the government, under the leadership of the loony left does not want them. Solar panels and windmills are it, simply because nuclear power is related to nuclear weapons, and therefore, it is all evil to the campfire singers. Even solar panels and windmills are evil to some of the greeny weenies out there. They don’t want fields to loose theyir beauty by having them there. They want us all to return to living by candlelight at night.

What can we do?

Write your congressman and senators. Here is my letter to Senator Bill Nelson of Florida who supports the Cap and Trade Tax. He used to be a moderate Democrat, but he’s firmly on the big spending, left-wing Liberal bandwagon, and has been ever since Barack Obama got elected.

Dear Senator Nelson,

I am disappointed in your stand in favor of the cap and trade tax. This is the greatest tax increase in American history, and you are putting it on the backs of the American people during, what your own Democratic Party calls “the greatest economic crisis since the Great Dpression.”

Carbon Dioxide is not a pollutant. It is what we exhale when we breathe, and without it, there would be no green plant life living on this planet. How can you declare such a falsehood of Carbon Dioxide being a pollutant as an excuse to tax the American people heavily?

Even the Global Warming crowd is admitting now that the Earth has been cooling over the last 10 years, and the American people are realizing that their claims have been grossly over-exaggerated. At this point in time, you want to use such hype as a way to tax the air around us to satisfy your left-wing activist groups.

Nobody’s Stopping Alternatives

The thing that gets me is that no one’s stopping alternative energy from being marketed or used. So, why attack fossil fuels? Why not let the market and time take its course as alternatives are used more and fossil fuels used less? Why tax the hell out of the American people during a recession to do this? Why? Because the left-wing loonies are in charge and they want to do it their way. Punish industry and punish the masses.

Note to Google, your rising of the water in your Google search graphic has not gone un-noticed. Yes, it’s rising, but guess what? The oceans are not rising. The artic and Antarctic ice sheets are not reducing. The Earth has been cooling for the last 11 years…. global warming and global cooling are a natural part of change in our solar system and our Earth. Any wonder why Al Gore switched his rhetoric from “global warming” to “climate change?”

Is it a trendy thing to do? I guess so, since it’s a hoax anyway. sure there is a minimal effect on Carbon Dioxide on the atmosphere that is caused by peop[le, but it is about %0.06 by the UN’s IPCC anyway, and they’re the major green scientific leaders! Can we please celebrate Earth Day without political exaggerations?

During the April 15th Tea Party Day, the mainstream media was working on Barack Obama’s behalf as usual by saying that he kept his promise in lowering taxes on 95% of Americans. Yet, what they do not tell us is that while we do get a tiny reduction in our payroll taxes, in 2010 the Bush tax cuts will expire, and that will effectively be a tax increase on everybody, including 95% of Americans who are not rich. Likewise, Obnama’s so-called “tax cut” is really a tax rebeat. It also lasts two years and will be gone in 2010.

The complaint on April 15th throughout all the Tea Parties was not just high taxation, but out of control spending. American’s are more likely to be confident in paying their tax dollars if they feel that the government is using these dollars wisely and not bankrupting the country and/or leaving a giant burden on the next generation. This argument got left to the side as the media just categorized the Tea Parties as just a small amount of upset Republicans. If they actually would have paid attention, they would have seen a diverse crowd that included Democrats who are upset with how the government is spending frivolously.

The Tax they don’t Tell You About

Below is a video of Barack Obama explaining the effects of Cap and Trade. Notice how is concern is getting the American people to volunteer to tax themselves and put energy companies out of business, thus reducing jobs.

While we are supposed to be happy with our extra 12 dollars a month, under the table the new budget that Obama sent to congress includes cap and trade. In cap and trade, any company that creates what the government considers to be excessive pollutants and carbon will be taxed on that production. Of course, this extra tax will be passed on to the consumer., which is all of us. It is a regressive tax in that it will be harder on those who earn less since their utility and food expenses will be higher and more difficult to pay with lower incomes.

What is most sickening about it is that cap and trade focuses on Carbon. Carbon Dioxide is what we breathe out every second and it is what our green environment needs to breathe. Plant life would not exist without Carbon Dioxide. In this way, the government has incorrectly classified Carbon Dioxide as a pollutant. They do this under the Al Gore-driven belief that the trace amounts of Carbon Dioxide in  the atmosphere have a significant effect on global warming. Many climatologists have actually debunked this belief, but it is still held by the Green Revolution that seeks to obtain power over people through their use of Carbon.

The global warming during the middle ages was not driven by increased Carbon Dioxide in the atmosphere, because there were no industries then. Additionally, the Earth is in a cooling cycle right now and has been for the last 9 years. Carbon Dioxide is actually a lagging indicator int hat it rises in quantity after warming in the climate, not before. The amount of Carbon Dioxide in the atmosphere is about 4%. The most significant green house gas is water vapor. How do we control that? Put a tax on evaporation? Furthermore, while we tax our own industries and put a financial burden on all Americans during this difficult economic times, India and China will continue to rise in industry and more than make up for our reductions. They will also have booming economies to make up for our self-inflicted decine in productivity as we are shooting ourselves in the foot.
