Obambi Obambi, Why are you so Pathetic?
by Lawrence on Jun.28, 2010, under Politics
So Obama says that he is dedicated to a successful mission in Afghanistan. This is the war that the Democrats, including Obama call the “justified war.” Yet, when his hand-picked general on the ground criticizes the fact that the troops have too many restrictions that put them in danger, Obama’s reaction is to fire him. Instead of trying to resolve the issue, Obama just tries to make it go away. He’s like a petulant child that thinks he knows everything and even though he’s never had anything to do with the military in the past, he thinks that he knows better than a general about how to resolve the Afghanistan situation. This mission equerries more restrictions and less fighting! yeah right Obambi. Our troops already try their utmost to avoid civilian casualties so much to their own lives are in danger. In fighting guerilla warfare where many of the supposed civilians are just un-uniformed terrorists, the last thing that they need is more restrictions than their own highly defined objectives to reduce civilian casualties. Yet, Obama doesn’t care. It’s all about pleasing the left wing to him and to pretend like he really wants to resolve the Afghanistan fight against terrorists.
Then to the BP oil spill. Here, Obama, overwhelmed by the fact that he appointed a cabinet of left-wing theorists who are great in spouting their ideals in academia, but who have no real-world experiences in doing anything, decides that since he can’t control or address situations he just needs to go on the attack even more. He shuts down off-shore drilling by all companies around the US, not just BP, but everyone. This means that a lot of people are going to lose their jobs and our economy is going to be hit by thousands of jobs lost and higher utility costs by his rash decision. Obama doesn’t care though, it’s all about his trying to “appear” like he’s handling things. So, he decides to make up for all these jobs lost and all the economic effects by his decision, he needs BP to pay up for the problem that he caused. BP should have to pay for the damages caused by the spill, but they should not have to fork over money for the hit to the economy that Obama caused by shutting off drilling all around the off-shore regions of the US. What a dumb ass this lightweight is. He talks big, he’s good at blaming, and he’s good at acting cool, but when it comes to governing, he’s way over his head. All he can do is resort to lying, blaming, and calling upon the left-wing media to bail him out. He’s pathetic.
I’m Back and the Democrats are doing what they do Best
by Lawrence on Jun.23, 2010, under Politics
I’ve been on the Sidelines, but now I’m back.
It has been over a month since I have posted here. My life got a little busy recently… or actually, a lot busy, and I had to focus on other things rather than The Wayfarer Philosophy. Yet, I’ve been keeping up with the goings on in the world and in this country. It is truly sad what is happening to this country at the hands of its government. This is a nation that has a history of so much honor and self-sacrifice, and although we have a history that is also clouded by severe wrongs, this country has always been on a course to correct itself and better itself. We now, however, are are at a point where the country’s prosperity hangs in the balance. We often take our freedom and our blessings for granted, and I am sad to say that there are a lot of people in this country who are content to sit back and not pay attention to what is going on nor think hard about the constant lies and manipulation put out by our present regime in government and the media that serves them.
How About this Oil Spill?
In getting caught up, I might as well start on what has been the biggest topic for the last month and a half. Let’s start with the obvious. Yes it is a terrible state of affairs for the Gulf Coast’s ecosystems and the livelihoods of the people who live there. BP should be playing the role it is playing in trying to clean up and stop the mess. Likewise, they should have to be held responsible for the damages to the people and the environmental concerns that result from this accident. Yet, the whole Obama administration mantra of “kick their asses and keep the boot on their neck” doesn’t accomplish a damn thing. Ken Salazar had the “boot ont he neck” quote and Barack Obama reported the whole “ass kicking” quote that most everyone has heard by now. The time for dealing out punishment comes later if there were any laws broken and the repayment for damages for what the accident has caused can begin now as these damages arise. Yet, a government who does not try to do anything to contribute to their own responsibility for organizing and helping the coastal states to protect their environments should not be engaging in the tough talk about punishing businesses for the sake of memorization and capitalizing on public sentiment.
Would it not be more productive right now for the government to be trying to help clean up the gulf whether or not BP has to pay for it? Shouldn’t they actually be getting back tot he states that are requesting PERMISSION to use booms to block the oil from approaching their shores? Should they not, in fact, be calling for any leading minds to contribute their ideas in helping to solve the problem? Nah, they just do what the Obama administration is good at, blame other people, do photo op’s to look like they’re doing something, and stir up public anger to punish businesses. I remember when BP were the glory boys of the Democratic party for paying them big bucks to get taxpayer subsidies for solar energy development. Hell, BP even put money behind cap and trade policies. They are one of the big Democratic party lobbyists and were the model of what oil companies should be doing, transitioning into alternative forms of energy. Now that they had an accident, Barack Obama does what he does best, make threats and try to make himself look better by attacking others. He needs to demonize businesses to hide the fact that he’s an incompetent president that doesn’t know what to do about anything other than just follow the Marxist theories he loves so much. Rather than being prudent and investigating drilling platforms in areas of similar situations, Obama just take a hammer to the whole industry and our entire economy by banning offshore drilling for half a year. What a stupid, petulant little child he is. Of course, that’s the aim. Keep us all down, overburdened and beholden to the government. The Democrats love absolute power and the restraint of prosperity.

So now we see how much the government can actually do when there is actually something that they are SUPPOSED to play a part in. So, should we keep giving them more and more power, more and more responsibilities, and more and more control over everything? As the jobs in the private sector continue to go down. The jobs in the government sector keep going up as they hire more and more bureaucrats and paper-pushers to regulate and run things that they can’t run well anyway.
Democrats Doing what they Do Best
1. Blame and demonize others to take the attention of an incompetent government.
2. Demonize business, period.
3. Don’t actually do anything other than spend a lot of money unwisely and blame others.
4. Do lots of photo shots to look like they’re actually doing something.
5. Make threats and swear to punish without actually trying to fix problems.
6. Hurt the economy so that everyone’s dependent on them for hand outs so they can control the people
7. LIE LIE LIE – “We’re in control of the situation!”
Keep up the Great Work on the Economy
If you like the way things are going, keep these assholes in charge.
Barack Obama’s Lies Part 18 – Scolding the Supreme Court During the State of the Union Speech
by Lawrence on Feb.01, 2010, under Barack Obama's Lies, Politics
During the State of the Union speech last week, Barack Obama scolded the Supreme Court for a decision they made the week before which allowed corporations and public interest groups to have the same donation and advertisement rights during campaigns as unions and 501C groups have. The condescending scolding tone and singling out the justices as “naughty” got a lot of attention. Yet, the real problem here is how he totally misrepresented the decision and lied about it.
So, Balrack Obama, who raised the most campaign cash in U.S. history stated that this decision would open the door for foreign interests to influence U.S. elections. He also stated that this over-turned 100 years of U.S. law. He was wrong on both fronts. The case that was brought before the Supreme Court was brought by a member of Citizens United, which had made a documentary about Hillary Clinton that they wanted to release during campaign season. They were forbidden to do so by the FEC. This group was a completely American public interest group. With films by left-wing filmmaker Michael Moore, and Oliver Stone’s W. being released during campaign seasons, it’s truly ironic why this group could not do the same… mostly because they are a conservative group.
All of the language that bans foreign companies or foreign funds used by American companies toward campaigns is still in place and is unaffected by the Supreme Court decision. The Democrats just want to maintain that labor unions and their interest groups only have free reign in donating and advertising for candidates. Why shouldn’t other American groups have the same rights as labor unions? What the hell, the Democrats still ahve their billionaire fund-raiser George Soros there creating “public interest” groups like they’re going out of style. The Supreme Court decision did not affect any decisions made 100 years ago, but rather, affects legislation from the McCain-Feingold bill that has only been in place in the last 4-6 years. So, Obama lied on two fronts. Yet, as we can see, lying is a regular approach used by this president.
Barack Obama’s Lies Part 17 – His 1st State of the Union Speech
by Lawrence on Jan.28, 2010, under Barack Obama's Lies, Politics
One of the great things that has happened over the last year is that more and more American people started paying attention to their government. No longer is it enough to just sit there, listening to sailing rhetoric and big promises. Now, most Americans know that they need to pay attention to what is actually going on, not just what the politicians SAY is going on. They use spin and carefully worded phrases to make it seem like what they are doing is all wonderful while the very important details remain hidden. In the last year, more and more Americans are now looking at the truth underneath the well-constructed surface that looks golden. Barack Obama’s first State of the Union Speech tonight was a great example of surface gilding, spun results, and all-out lies that make crap and BS seem wonderful.
Playing Favorites and Dealing out Punishment and Blame
Obama’s comments on green energy and innovations were all great tonight. He even said it would be productive for the country even if there are doubts about global warming (which have grown exponentially in the alst few years). But right after these nice superficial, agreeable platitudes, Obama said that the house had passed a great energy bill and he wanted to Senate to take it up and get it to his desk. If the house Cap and Trade bill is an example of what he wants, then his soaring surface rhetoric has nothing to do with the actual legislation! The Cap and Trade bill that was passed by the house was a job killer, a business killer, and a country-wide ton of regulations that would increase the cost of energ significantly for everyone. Punishing and taxing is not a method of creating incentives. You don’t help one are simply by hurting others, especially when the whole population is one of those areas you hurt.
Obama made his plans on taxing big banks sound nice. He said that he would be asking them to pay the American people back for helping them out. Well, virtually all of the banks have paid back their loans with interest. What is the purpose of taxing them more? He said that he didn’t want to punish banks, but that’s basically what he’s doing. Once again, he’s all about punishing some as a method of helping others. Now, many Americans may not have a problem with this because it is easy to not have regard for large banks, especially after the crisis. Yet, given the fact that most of the banks he will be taxing already paid back their loans with interest, and many of them weren’t involved int eh crisis and were forced to take the TARP funds to begin with, how do they deserve this punishment? Now, you may still feel that it’s ok to punish big companies, but what good comes from it? Will singling them out and taxing them extra make them loan more? Will it encourage them to hire more people? the banks are the ones being demonized right now, but once again it will be the insurance companies, then it will be the energy companies, and so on and so on.
If you listened carefully during the student loan promises, you would have heard more favoritism. obama stated that he wanted grants where students who graduate would not have to pay more than 10% of their income toward their loans. He added that the loan payments would even end after 20 years whetheer or not the loan was paid back. Then, he promised that this loan forgiveness would come after 10 years for those in public service. Hmmmmm… public serice just means government jobs. Why should those working for government get a better deal than those who do not? It’s merely a reward to the public service unions, who already have realy sweet salary and benefit packages.
Now he is a Budget Balancer
Yeah, once again, even after a year he comes back with blaming Bush for putting us on the brink of a depression that he saved us from. He talked about how there were budget deficits under Bush, and he HAD to quadruple them in order to save us from economic disaster. But now, he is going to put a spending freeze on the budget. As I said in a detailed earlier post, that only freezes the spending in 1/6 of the budget at their already outrageously high levels! We need a spending cut, not a spending freeze. So, all that rhetoric about how he does not want to pass a debt burden on to the next generations is just a bunch of BS. what is truly grand is to hear Obama justify his spending by the high, but far-less spending under Bush. He spends most of the time bashing and insulting Bush, but he uses him as a model to justify his own decisions!
Putting a Nice Spin on a Bad Year
It is almost as if Barack Obama did not go through the same year we all did last year. He went on about jobs, jobs, and more jobs. He praised his own “Recovery” or “Stimulus” bill that was actually written by Nancy Pilosi and the far0left Apollo Project. It was tauted to keep unemployment below 8%, but unemployment has been at 10% or above for a few months now. He says how it saved or created 2 million jobs. His staff members say varying figures to show ho how accurate these estimates actually are. In any case, the method that they use to calculate these numbers is based on calculating how much money went to whatever projects or areas and then calculate the number of jobs there. They ASSUME that the money that they sent to different groups or areas actually saved all the jobs that are there! Recovery.gov has not been updated in 3 months, more of that unprecedented transparency. About $15 billion went to districts that don’t exist as is un-accounted for. Of course, this is just a small amount to government. Yet, $15 billion is also the amount that Obama’s spending freeze is supposed to save. Yet, supposedly this is supposed to make us forget that we have lost 3 million jobs since the bill was passed.
It’s also kind of funny how he still talks as if they are trying to move the country forward and all these interest groups and the Republicans are holding him back. With an overwhelmingly Democratic house, a filibuster-proof mejority in the senate (up until a week ago), and ownership of the White House shows that there was no possibility of the Republicans stopping them! The resistance came from the American people, who, for example, overwhelmingly apposed the Healthcare agenda. They want healthcare improvements, but they paid attention tot eh actual bills that came through and saw what disasters they would create! Yet, tonight, Obama talked about how great it was and how we cannot give up on it. 60% of the country does not want your Obamacare!
As usual, any groups against Obama’s plans are called “special interest” groups, but all the groups that support him are unlabeled as interest groups. Obama got a special tax reprieve for unions in the health care bill. He gave partial union ownership to GM and majority union ownership to Chrysler, butting out the bond holders who were 1st in line to be paid back. He talks about improving education, but he cut out charter and school choice programs int he inner city of Washington, DC at the request of the NEW and AFT. He talks about how the peple want less bickering in Washington, yet the Democrats have been portraying the worst in sleazy politics. They work on bills in backroom meetings where they don’t allow Republicans nor the press inside to see what’s going on. Then he complains about the Republicans not working with him. They aren’t even allowed int he room! The reason why he is falling in the polls and Scott Brown got elected last week is because the American people are getting wise to him, his lies, and the Democrats ACTUAL actions not their rhetoric.
I could go on and on, but I’m tired and I want to go to bed. Obama, you’re full of crap as usual.
Don’t Worry Liberals! Obama’s Spending Freeze Doesn’t Reduce Anything, it just Freezes the Outrageously High Spending at the Point it isAlready at!
by Lawrence on Jan.26, 2010, under Barack Obama's Lies, Politics
This is rich. We got a heads up from the media that Obama plans on introducing a spending freeze during his State of the Union address on Wednesday. Sounds like he is going to be more fiscally conservative? Well, let us actually look at what it really is. The Obama administration and the Democrats in congress have just been on the biggest spending binge in the nation’s history. Now, what are the details of this spending freeze?
Well, the media tells us that it will not affect Medicare, Social Security, or any of the other entitlement programs. It will also not affect national defense. It will affect about 2/6 of the budget. Well, still this is significant enough in amount, but what they do not tell us is that a spending freeze is not a spending reduction. It is merely a promise to not go above the record levels that the budget is already at! Obama has quadrupled the deficit since the Bush administration. The deficit is the amount of spending that goes beyond what the country has taken in for a given year or quarter. this all piles up in the overall national debt eventually. The spending freeze just keeps spending from going beyond the already super-high level that they’re already at.
It is like someone saying that they have to pay a quarter of their yearly expenses on a credit card, but they feel good making the promise that it will never go above that 25% regular amount of over-spending. Basically, they raised their amount of deficit spending so high that now they feel comfortable in freezing it at that poi, even though it is already way too high! During the presidential campaign, Obambi was completely against spending freezes in the first place! Now, he has compromised. Yeah, real compromise. He’s just maintaining the wild spending that he has already set as the norm.
As stated earlier, Obama has quadrupled the amount of regular budeget debt that the Bush administration had at its highest spending moments. Now he is trying to look all responsible for freezing the spending at the point… except for the other 5/6 of the budgetary items, which he reserves the right to increase. is this really so special? According to the Congressional Budget Office, we are on pace to have the overall national debt doubled in the next ten years….. all the debt that the country has accumulated since its beginning will be doubled in ten years of Obama. That’s responsibility boy.
Obama’s post-Scott Brown Strategy – Focus blame Elsewhere
by Lawrence on Jan.25, 2010, under Barack Obama's Lies, Politics
One of the principles that Barack Obama really seems to have trouble with is “take responsibility for your actions.” He also has a great deal of trouble with honesty. Last week, after the big Scott Brown election, Barack Obama came out fighting with more campaign appearances and softball interviews. His interview with George Stephanopoulos of ABC included a great line about why the American people are not in favor of the various Democrat health care plans. Obama said it was because they “lost a sense of speaking directly to the American people about their what their core values are.” I guess we need to be told what our values are instead of deciding for ourselves. There has certainly been no lack of Obama telling us what he wants, and his campaigning on the various health care proposals was pretty non-stop. I guess we are just not thinking the way he wants us to. He needs to tell us what our core values SHOULD BE. Apparently, we cannot decide for ourselves. Once again, the problem is with us, not his policies.
Obama also started a new crusade of “populism” last week by talking about how he is fighting for job creation. During his campaign speech in Ohio last Friday, he even stated that he would fight for us against those who stand in his way of creating jobs for us. Who exactly is standing in his way of creating jobs? The republicans? Are they fighting to not create jobs? In what way? What are they proposing to stop job creation? They are mostly arguing how all the things that Obama has Well, if you are a company who is in the private sector, not owned by government done and is planning to do do not seem to be geared toward actual job creation. The stimulus package obviously did not work, and it was clear at the time that most of it was just pay offs to state and local governments as well as left wing interest groups. No surprise why this big spending bill did not create private sector jobs. It was mostly geared to creating public sector union jobs.
Simultaneously, Obama decided to shift the public’s anger toward the banks again. He wants to create a new tax just devoted to banks. He says that it is to have the banks pay back penalty funds for having borrowed money from the TARP program. The thing that goes unsaid is that virtually all of the banks have paid back their TARP loans WITH INTEREST. If they have completed their financial agreement with the government, why do they need to be punished further? Additionally, many of the big banks did not request TARP funds are were forced to take the funds. Some of them even stepped in to save other banks. Now, all of these banks too must be punished. Just like with energy companies, insurance companies, and other businesses, Obama likes to announce an attack on these “evil corporations,” playing on peoples’ emotions and anger in order to divert frustration away from him. If he is really bothered by the banking disaster that occurred, why is he a stalwart supporter of Ben Bernanke, the Fed chairman? Why does he not have a problem with all the bonuses from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the government banks that were at the center of the catastrophe?
Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, AIG, GM, and Chrysler are all companies that have taken a lot of taxpayer money from TARP, have not paid it back, and are now protected both financially and politically by the Democrats in government. As has become customary, Obama and the Democrats select those groups and companies that they consider to be allies in their cause and protect them. Likewise, they point out those who they want to demonize and attack them. How do you know if you are an ally or enemy?
Obama will protect you and fight for you if…
If you are a member of a union that has paid a lot of money to the Democrat party, you will be protected and favored. For example, int he health care bill, the unions negotiated a
stipulation that they would not have to pay the taxes on expensive health care plans that the rest of the population would have to pay. The United Auto Workers union was given significant partial ownership of GM and
Chrysler. These companies will not be demonized for needing bailouts. They will not even be criticized for not paying back the loans either.
Businesses that create private sector jobs will be demonized unless they pay off Obama and the Democrats for protection. For example, the big pharmaceutical companies were not targets of Obama in his health care promotion, because they paid a lot of money to Obamacare promotion nd supported it. On the other hand, the insurance companies did not support nor pay money to Obamacare promotion, so they become demonized.

It’s Chicago Mob Philosophy plain and simple. You ahve to pay and offer support to Obama to get his protection. If you don’t, you may need to be demonized, so he can get his agenda across and/or make himself look better tot he people.
C-Span Finally Calls on Obama to stop Breaking his Promise of Transparency
by Lawrence on Jan.05, 2010, under Politics
Barack Obama has broken a lot of campaign promises and has done a lot of lying since he took office, but one of the most frustrating things about Obama’s hipocracy is his approach to transparency. How many times did he promise an “unprecedented transparency” from his administration? Nany Pilosi made the same promise back in 2006 when the Democrats took control of the congress. Yet, they have have shown that their approach to transparency is to keep the media and the American people in the dark as mush as possible until bills are voted on as we find out about them after the vote!

Obambi, the Liar in Chief
The Democrats have been persisting with their secret meetings throughout the construction of their house and senate healthcare bills. On an almost complete, party-line vote, they have shoved things through and made the documents available to the people only after voting on the various bills in committee or on the floor. Hell, even the congress members themselves only get to see the bills right before voting and without any time to read them.

Pilosi will be one of 3-4 people to create the final healthcare bill that will decide our health and well-being
While most of us who follow politics and are not brain-dead sheep, are pissed off about this back-room dealing. C-Span has finally joined the cause. Being the sole network that covers the government 24/7, they got sick of the fact that they were banned from all of these back-room meetings where the bills were actually written. These meetings were exclusively attended by Democrats and banned Republicans, media, and ordinary citizens from observing. Now, C-Span is finally calling on Obama to live up to his promise and ask the congress to open up these final meetings on the combination of the house and senate healthcare b ills to teh public. I predict that Obama and the Democrats will ignore them and not other being transparent. Hell, they’re passing a healthcare bill that the American people are against, check just about every poll and you’ll see that it isn’t even close! They don’t care, they want to runt he healthcare industry, and there is no way they will be held back from this greatest of all socialist dreams.

“Dirty” Harry Reed has been creating the senate bill behind closed doors the whole time, so why stop now?
Barack Obama’s Lies Part 16 – The New Version of Obamacare is going to Save us Money
by Lawrence on Dec.21, 2009, under Barack Obama's Lies, Politics, Tyranny
Well, the Democrats’ most recent version of Obamacare made it past the last major hurdle over the weekend. Obama’s quick to come out and pimp this latest version, and pour out the usual propaganda. With literally ALL of the major national polls showing that the American people are against even this latest plan, which only got released after voting on it (more of that Obama transparency), he has got to convince us that we are wrong and this is what we really want.

So, after working over the CBO, they come out with the numbers that the Democrats wanted. The Obamacare bill will actually save the government money. With half a trillion dollars being taken out of Medicare, and another half of trillion dollars in tax increases on our existing healthcare plans, the government will actually save money in the next 10 years. Amazing! The government saves money by taking it away from the people! Nice, huh? They save more money by throwing the uninsured onto Medicaid, and forcing the states to pay for it instead of the federal government. I wonder if those costs will trickle down to the people to? Nebraska is safe though, they bought Ben Nelson’s vote off by making Nebraska the only states excluded from having to pay the skyrocketing Medicaid costs that this bill creates.

Didn’t Barack Obama promise us that this was going to reduce the cost of healthcare? Yeah, but that doesn’t matter, increasing the costs on all of us is best for us anyway, that way the government can control everything, and the high costs are worth paying for creating this enormous bureaucracy.
So, by putting us on the hook for it, Obama says that the government will save $130 billion in the first 10 years of Obamacare, and then $1 trillion over the next 10 years. But wait a second, doesn’t those savings all get eaten up by the fact that Obama has promised the poor nations of the world that we will pay them $100 billion a year for climate change? Looks like Obama has already sent our governments saving anyway, just the week before. Oh well, looks like we’re on the hook for already spent savings.
Democrats Determined to Ram Whatever Healthcare Pot Pouri they got Down our Throats
by Lawrence on Dec.15, 2009, under Politics, Tyranny
Despite the fact that every single poll out there shows that the majority of the people in the United States are against the various healthcare proposals that the Democrats have been putting together, King Obama called together all senate Democrats to teh White House today to create a unified 60 vote coalition to make whatever current bill they have go through the senate for a final vote. At this point, none of us know what the current draft of the bill is like. Apparently, the government option is gone and apparently they took out the expansion of Medicare to people 55 and over. Yet, we know nothing else. It is quite likely that all of the mandates and controls over the medical system are still there, which means it is still government control anyway. Apparently, the $500 billion cut in Medicare is still there as well. Yet, we don’t know for sure. The Democrats have stopped informing us of what their current bill includes weeks ago.
Yep, it’s more of that “unprecedented transparency” that we were promised by Obama, Reed, and Pilosi. Basicallly, they tell us what they want us to think, and they hide what is actually going on. All we know is that they are determined to pass whatever it is before Christmas. Yet, we must assume that some of the following issues are still part of the package:
- The most recent plan included an up to 40% tax increase on private health insurance plans. These are the so-called “Cadillac plans.” Of course there are still taxes on all kinds of private health plans. This will obviously increase the costs of our healthcare, despite the promise that they are doing this to lower our healthcare costs. Why tax us for having health insurance? On the flip side, they fine you if you don’t have a health insurance plan. What’s the deal? They’re just determined to fund their government bureaocracyover the healthcare industry on the backs of all of us. We’re basically just going to be paying for the government to expand its power, not for improving our own healthcare.
- The $500 billion cut in Medicare will obviously be scary for seniors and those nearing retirement. The notion that Medicare will not cut benefits even though they are significantly reducing its funding is purely laughable. the money isn’t going to go toward improving Medicare, the funds will go toward creating the giant bureaocracy that the government needs to create in order to rule over the entire healthcare system. Seeing how Medicare is going to be bankrupt in 8 years, it obviously needs fixing, but theis healthcare takeover is not focused on fixing anything, it’s merely focused on taking over the parts of the halthcare industry that government has not already ruined.
- while the government “option” may not be in the bill, all the regulations that the bills have had thus far control every aspect of the helathcare system. From defining what types of plans are approved and allowed by the government to creating rules for health insurance companies and healthcare providers, how can anyone say that the government isn’t going to be in control of the healthcare system? It still is a government takeover. All this money is just going to go to creating the gigantic government entity that will be controlling the whole system.
Let’s fave it folks, wheter we like it or not, the Democrats are determined to ram this thing through on us, and according to the numbers, they don’t need any Republicans to help. All the bickering so far has been about making all the Democrats agree on their own plan that they developed on their own behind closed doors. Despite the fact that most of the country is against it, they will shove it down our troats. Let’s also face reality here, these plans are not designed to do any of t things they promised. Healthcare costs will go up due to the government’s mandates and taxes, there will still be about 25 million uninsured people, and there will be less options for all of us since the government has to approve all healthcare plans. With this example of how the ruling Democrat party does not listen or care what the people think, we can rest assured their striving to take over the healthcare system will not allow for customer feedback.
Hey Obambi! Here is what you can do for the Troops on Veteran’s Day – Make a Decision
by Lawrence on Nov.11, 2009, under Politics, Spirituality
Veteran’s Day really symbolizes the sentiments that we should share with those who served in the military every day. If you see someone in uniform, just simply say, “I appreciate your service to our country.” Even if you don’t politically agree with the wars, we need to support those who are risking their lives for us. It’s not hard to do, and people who show their appreciation can make a big difference to the morale of those who serve.
If Barack Obama wants to show his appreciation to the military, he doesn’t need to get out the teleprompter and run off another daily speech of sweeping generalities. All he needs to do is make a decision. Right now, we have troops in Afghanistan that either need more support or need to be taken out. If they’re just going to sit there and be at un-necessary risk because they are out-numbered and lack support they are just being hung out to dry and die. In March, 2009, Obama announced that he and his team had “put together a comprehensive strategy for Afghanistan.” Afghanistan is the war that even Obama describes as a justified war. Given that, and that the commander who he selected and put in charge of the war has reported that we need 40,000 more troops to support the troops that are there, I think he owes the military some swift decision making.
Yet, on this Veteran’s Day, Barack Obama is still undecided about whether he will take the advice of his hand-picked commander or not. The White House says that a decision will not be made before his 8 day trip to Asia. Of course, it was said before that a decision would not be made before the elections in Afghanistan. Now that that race is decided, another time line is set. Basically, Obama’s strategy is to delay and keep our troops hanging in the balance. Obama only seems to have courage when he’s attacking Fox News, but when it comes to real decision making, he’s only concerned about keeping the far left happy without pissing off the rest of the country too much that they revolt. It’s simple for us to show our appreciation to the military with kind words, but the Commander in Chief has a higher order to fill. He’s their leader, he needs to show some leadership.
